Goole RUFC U11's made the short journey to Beaver Park to play against home side Beverley and fellow visiting side Bridlington. Goole travelled with 23 players, whilst Beverley had 14 players and Bridlington only 5. It was therefore agreed that Beverley and Bridlington would merge to form two teams, with Goole also forming two teams. Goole's two squads played two games each, with all players benefiting from lots of game time.

Team A won their first fixture against the Beverley/Bridlington combined team by 10 tries to nil, with Vinnie, Harvey and Poppy carrying the ball with real purpose. George, Max and Alf were fantastic in defence, making some huge hits on their opponents. Game two was a much more even affair, with the intensity and ferocity of the play much higher. Ethan and Alfie covered every blade of the pitch as they thwarted numerous Beverley attacks. Wilf, playing with a newfound confidence was a real menace at the breakdown, causing Beverley all sorts of problems. Oli's tactical kicking was a real asset as well as Isaac's control at the set piece and breakdown. Jack, playing after a long injury layoff, had a phenomenal work rate as he carried the ball forward to create space for his teammates. The game finished all square at two try's a piece.

Team B played Beverley first, in what was another physical encounter. Jake, Ted and Josh's work rate was phenomenal as they carried the ball forward. George and Lincoln worked as a pair to hit every breakdown and disrupt the opposition play or safeguard their own ball. Eva used her athleticism to run around the pitch, appearing in every passage of play. The final whistle saw Goole B victorious by 4 try's to three. Game two saw Goole B play the combined Beverley/Bridlington team. Goole had too much fire power for their opponents as Callum, Elliot, Angus, Dylan and Noah used their pace and lines of running to create space and score tries at will. Final score was 17 scores to nil.

The coaches were incredibly proud of all 23 players for the way they conducted themselves during the games, playing rugby in the right spirit and for not getting embroiled in any moments of foul play. Special mention goes to Jack for returning after a long injury absence and new-player Alf for an excellent debut. The progression of the team is fantastic to witness and long may it continue. The coaches are also grateful for the continued support and commitment from all players parents. Players of the week went to Wilf from Team A and Lincoln from Team B.
