Goole kept up the pressure on leaders Wath, with an outstanding victory over a good Aireborough side on Saturday. James Dougherty led the way with his second 4 try haul in as many weeks with hooker Mark Woodhall adding a couple if his own and Liam Green snesking an interception to go the full length. The bonus point was secured after 20 mins and there were some fine performances, particularly Mark Woodhall in the front row, Steve Morris and Eddie Newsum in the 2nd row and Sam Atkinson in the back row. Tat Hancox and Mike Stoakes combined well at half back and James Dougherty and Neil Cawood have forged a more than useful midfield partnership.
Wath recorded an impressive 67-0 away victory away at Old Otliensians and at present it looks like the fixture away at Wath on 20 November is a must win game.
