Please see minor revisions for Xmas Family Day - 18 December 2016.
Dear Club Member,
As a valued member of Goole Rugby Club, we would like to invite you and your family to our Christmas Family Day on Sunday 18th December. This year, we are pleased to join together with the Mini & Junior section to combine their pantomime fun with the club draw.
Mini & Junior Family Afternoon from 1.00pm – Pantomime, party games, buffet & Santa visit £1 per child
The Mini & Junior team will be holding their annual pantomime at 1.00pm to kick off the Christmas party for the children with a festive kid’s disco and party games. Santa will be calling in for a visit at around 3.00-3.30pm. This year, there will be a nominal charge of £1 per child for the party and we will provide a selection box gift for all children attending from Santa – there is no need to bring a wrapped present for your child this year.
Club Draw from 3.30pm
The afternoon will continue into the evening with the annual Christmas Draw at around 5.00pm. This is an annual fundraiser for the club and is well supported every year. Last year, over £2500 was raised to contribute to the general running of the club and grounds. We are setting a target of £2750 this year and would welcome your help in selling an allocation of tickets. We have given each player or family £25 to sell to friends, family and neighbours. The prizes are excellent - £650 of cash prizes, an iPod shuffle, DAB radio, wine, beer and chocolates. Donations of prizes or vouchers from local businesses would be also gratefully accepted. Additional tickets are available by texting Julian Patrick (07546 889154) or Lee Marwood (07554 119700). There is a prize for the person who sells the most tickets so get cracking! Please make every effort to sell your allocation – your contribution does make a difference.
Tickets stubs and monies can be returned to 46 Olive Grove, Goole, or 2 Sycamore Close, Howden or given to Katie, Julian or Lee at the club. Alternatively, they can be brought to the club on Sunday 18th December from 1.00pm.
There will be a communal buffet to share in the afternoon and we ask each family to bring something along to add to the buffet – savoury or sweet.
We look forward to welcoming as many members and guests (both old and new) as possible on Sunday 18th December to get you in the festive spirit.
Merry Christmas!!!
