Two teams selected at random instead of the usual Unders v Overs saw a really competitive and entertaining game at Westfield on Boxing Day. A decent crowd enjoyed the fun and the fresh air, the game won 6 tries to 5 by one of the Goole teams, thanks to bar manager Andy Thurlow for stepping in to referee at short notice. The players and spectators retired to the clubhouse for an afternoon and evening of celebration, some carol singing and a couple of clubhouse games, another superb day with plenty of new faces enjoying the atmosphere.
